Why Flashpoint is one of Injustice Mobile's strongest teams
The full Flashpoint trio is Batman/Flashpoint, Aquaman/Flashpoint and Deathstroke/Flashpoint. There is no alternate third member to debate: the team's strength comes from how these three passives overlap. Batman raises the value of critical hits, Aquaman protects Flashpoint teammates when they tag in, and Deathstroke turns those teammates into extra attacks during his specials.
That combination gives Flashpoint fast clears, brutal burst damage and enough defensive utility to stay dangerous when another player attacks your Online Battle team. The key is not to copy one gear screenshot and call it finished. Offense and defense ask for different things, so the same trio should be geared and ordered differently depending on who is controlling it.
- Batman — crit engine, healing shutdown and powerful Deathstroke assist damage.
- Deathstroke — main burst carry whose specials call in his Flashpoint teammates.
- Aquaman — Water Shield, power-control utility and the natural defensive anchor of the trio.
Flashpoint Batman: the passive that makes the team scale
Flashpoint Batman is the reason the team's critical hits become so threatening. A normal critical hit starts at 150% damage before crit-damage augments and gear. Batman doubles the critical damage dealt by Flashpoint characters, turning that base crit into 300% and making crit investment unusually valuable across the trio.
His boost is not limited to basic attacks. It applies to Flashpoint crits from basic attacks, specials and damage-over-time effects that are able to crit. Batman also briefly disables enemy healing after using a special, which is useful against sustain-heavy teams.
The most important team interaction is with Deathstroke. When Batman appears as a teammate assist during Deathstroke's special, that assist uses Batman's own damage and critical stats. Improving Batman therefore does two jobs at once: it strengthens Batman himself and raises one of Deathstroke's biggest damage sources.
Flashpoint Deathstroke: the team's explosive carry
Deathstroke is where the full Flashpoint synergy becomes obvious. His Pirate Crew passive lets Flashpoint teammates join his special attacks. With Batman and Aquaman both present, the special gains additional assist hits, and those assists use the assisting character's own damage, critical chance and critical damage rather than simply copying Deathstroke's stats.
That is why the full trio feels so much stronger than Deathstroke by himself. A properly augmented Batman can make a Deathstroke special dramatically more dangerous even if Batman is not currently tagged in. The full Flashpoint lineup also extends Deathstroke's combo ender, giving him more basic-attack pressure between specials.
- Tantu Totem + The Master's Death Cart is the classic power core for a special-focused Deathstroke.
- Claw of Horus is excellent when you want SP1 to remove dangerous enemy gear before it can take over the fight.
- The Ibistick is a strong damage/DOT option, while League of Assassins Adept Knives works well for an SP1 area-damage approach.
Flashpoint Aquaman: Water Shield changes how you should order the team
Aquaman is often treated as the least flashy member because Batman and Deathstroke produce the biggest damage numbers, but Water Shield is one of the most important mechanics in the team. Flashpoint characters receive the shield when they tag in. The character that starts the match in Slot 1 does not begin with a Water Shield simply because Aquaman is on the team.
A fresh Water Shield reduces incoming special damage and reflects part of it back to the attacker. After a special damages the shielded character, the shield is normally consumed until that character tags out and back in. Because damage reduction can stack with the shield, Aquaman is especially effective when built as a defensive tank.
He also brings utility beyond the shield. His combo ender can trigger a power-draining water attack, and he can be built for DOT or special damage if you want a more aggressive version. Water Shield does not make the team immune to every attached effect, so DOT and power control still matter in difficult matchups.
Online Battle defense: team order matters more than most gear lists explain
For a pure Flashpoint defense, Batman is a very strong Slot 1 choice. A practical order is Batman first, Deathstroke second and Aquaman third. This is not a rule that every account must follow, but it has a clear mechanical reason: the opening character gets no Water Shield, while the characters behind him can receive it when the AI tags them in.
Batman handles the opening slot well because he can create dangerous basic-attack pressure without relying on perfect AI decisions. Astro-Harness can cover some of the risk of starting without Water Shield. Keeping Deathstroke and Aquaman behind him means both remain available as protected tag-ins later in the fight.
Batman also has an AI-specific quirk: the AI can sometimes connect his combo ender after heavy attacks, making his basic sequence hit harder than an attacker expects. It is not consistent enough to build the entire defense around, but it adds to the reason Batman can be an annoying lead.
- Batman / Slot 1 — Astro-Harness + LexCorp Helmet V2 + Overpowered 5-U-93-R is a balanced example that mixes survival and basic pressure.
- Deathstroke / Slot 2 — Tantu Totem + The Master's Death Cart + The Ibistick keeps him capable of turning one good AI special sequence into a knockout.
- Aquaman / Slot 3 — Batman Ninja Helmet + Killer Croc Companion Card + Gingold Soda is a classic tank-style template built around making Water Shield and damage reduction expensive to break through.
Online Battle offense: build for speed and controlled tags
When you control the team, you can choose the correct special, time tags and decide when gear needs to be shattered. That makes a faster, more aggressive build more valuable than a defense designed to survive imperfect AI decisions. Deathstroke is often the main special carry, Batman provides crit pressure and assist damage, and Aquaman acts as a protected utility or emergency tank.
A simple rotation is to open with Batman, build or use enough pressure to identify the opponent's defensive gear, then tag Deathstroke in. Deathstroke receives Aquaman's Water Shield on the tag and can trigger The Master's Death Cart if equipped. From there, Tantu Totem lets him keep turning successful knockouts into more special pressure while Batman and Aquaman contribute assist damage.
- Utility Deathstroke — Tantu Totem + The Master's Death Cart + Claw of Horus for fast SP1 pressure and gear shatter.
- Damage/DOT Deathstroke — Tantu Totem + The Master's Death Cart + The Ibistick when raw damage and DOT matter more than immediate gear removal.
- Batman — build around crit/basic damage, SP1 utility or survivability depending on whether he is your opener or secondary carry.
- Aquaman — Astro-Harness and defensive or LexCorp pieces make him a reliable safety option when the first burst does not finish the battle.
Missing premium gear? Copy the role, not the exact screenshot
You do not need every end-game gear card before the team becomes useful. Instead of copying a three-card loadout blindly, identify what each slot is meant to accomplish. Deathstroke wants power and special pressure, Batman wants crit/basic or assist value, and Aquaman wants survivability when he is your tank.
This also prevents a common mistake: using the same loadout on offense and defense just because it looks strong on paper. Manual play can exploit precise tags, Tantu Totem loops and intentional gear shatter. Defensive AI cannot be trusted to reproduce those decisions, so passive pressure and survivability become more valuable there.
- Deathstroke priorities — power generation/refund, special damage, SP1 utility and area damage.
- Batman priorities — crit chance, crit damage, basic damage, SP1 utility or survival depending on his role.
- Aquaman priorities — damage reduction, special protection, DOT utility or a secondary special build.
Crit augments and promotions: max stats are not always max efficiency
Crit augments are especially valuable on Flashpoint because Batman magnifies their payoff. Batman is the obvious first priority, but Aquaman's crit and damage stats also matter when he appears in Deathstroke's assists, and Deathstroke benefits directly when he is your main carry.
Promotions are less straightforward. Elite X Level 60 gives the highest raw card stats, which is ideal if your goal is a maxed collection or maximum strength. Online Battle efficiency is different because matchmaking is influenced by team stats. Players optimizing Battle Rating per minute sometimes keep support or utility characters below maximum promotion instead of raising all three equally.
What gives Flashpoint trouble — and how to play around it
The best way to understand a Flashpoint defense is to understand how experienced players dismantle one. Reduction-heavy Aquaman builds often depend on Water Shield plus specific defensive gear, which makes gear shatter one of the cleanest answers. Claw of Horus can remove the pieces that turn an annoying tank into a near-wall.
Critical immunity also lowers a major part of Flashpoint's normal damage ceiling. Red Son Green Lantern and some other anti-crit matchups can make Batman's ordinary crit pressure much less threatening. That does not erase the team's specials, assists, DOT options or gear effects, so treat anti-crit as a strong countermeasure rather than an automatic win.
DOT and power control are also useful against defensive versions of the team. Water Shield is designed around special damage; attached effects can still create problems, while power drain can interfere with tanks that rely on holding power for damage-reduction gear.
Common mistakes — and the final takeaway
Flashpoint remains special because every member changes what the other two can do. Batman turns critical hits into a team-wide damage engine, Aquaman makes tag-ins defensive events, and Deathstroke converts his teammates into extra damage during his own specials.
For offense, focus on controlled tags, gear shatter and Deathstroke's burst. For defense, a dependable Batman lead, protected tag-ins and a difficult-to-remove Aquaman create a much more reliable setup. Once you separate those two goals, the trio becomes easier to build correctly — and much harder for opponents to deal with.
- Using the exact same gear setup for manual offense and AI-controlled defense.
- Putting the character who most needs Water Shield in Slot 1 and expecting the shield to be active immediately.
- Maxing Deathstroke while ignoring the damage and crit stats of Batman and Aquaman, whose stats affect their assists.
- Treating Aquaman as the weak member of the trio instead of using his defensive role properly.
- Building three damage dealers with no gear shatter, tank or fallback plan.
