How Phantom Zone works

Phantom Zone is built around completing objectives, filling a crystal and then beating a boss. Completing a crystal rewards Nth Metal and Valorium Alloy plus an additional reward; completing five crystals opens the final portal reward.

The mode requires an internet connection and rotates in and out rather than remaining permanently active.

Trainee, Veteran and Elite crystals

  • Trainee — lowest requirement and easiest bosses; useful for developing accounts.
  • Veteran — middle difficulty and better reward potential.
  • Elite — highest requirement and strongest reward pool; best choice when your roster can complete it reliably.

Complete objectives efficiently

Phantom Zone objectives can be completed across other game modes, so combine them with activities you already need to do. If an objective asks for DOT, specials, basic attacks or another specific action, use a team built around that requirement instead of trying to force your normal farming team.

Boss fights: build for survival, not just speed

  • Bring one dependable carry with a complete gear setup.
  • Use Astro-Harness or another defensive option if the boss can delete a fragile carry.
  • Power-generation support can make the opening safer and reduce the time spent exposed.
  • If you lose the boss, you only need to retry the boss; you do not need to redo the completed objectives for that crystal.

Why Phantom Zone matters

Phantom Zone is one of the main legitimate sources of Nth Metal and the exclusive source of Valorium Alloy used to upgrade Metal character specials. Elite crystal rewards also have a chance to include Metal characters, making the event extremely valuable for Metal progression.

Reset only when the extra run is worth the cost

Phantom Zone can be reset during an event for additional runs at an Nth Metal cost. For strong accounts that can clear Elite crystals consistently, the extra rewards can be worthwhile; for newer accounts, keeping the Nth Metal may be the better decision.
